She attended Bloomington Chapel and was formerly employed at Sumitomo and Union Underwear. She was a member of a large, respected family. She was a native of Adair County and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Bill & Carrie Murphy Rowe. She leaves 11 direct living descendants.

Jo Marie Rowe, 70, of Columbia, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 9:25amCT, at her son's residence.

Graveside service will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11amCT, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial will follow the service. At Jo Marie's request, there will be no public visitation and no flowers are to be sent.

She was born August 19, 1943, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bill & Carrie Murphy Rowe. She died Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and seven days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn "Dude", Elva, and Floyd Rowe.

She attended Bloomington Chapel and was formerly employed at Sumitomo and Union Underwear.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Larry B. (Mildred) Smith of Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Robert "Shaw", Elroy "Buck" and Leon Rowe all of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Allene Hardwick of Columbia, KY; Lillian Grimmer of Glasgow, KY and Christine Hickerson of Chicago, IL

  • Five grandchildren: Brian Miller, Ashley Reliford, Leevin Smith, April Walker & Josh Blackburn
  • Five great-grandchildren: Jimmy Anthony Reliford II, Cal Miller, Kate Miller, Luke Walker, and Canyon Miller.

  • Special friend: Sheila Pendleton
