Wynema Fudge, 96, Adair County, KY (1917-2014)

Mrs. Fudge was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was born in Adair County, KY, and was a resident at the time of her death. She was a member of a highly regarded South Adair family, the daughter of the late Ed & Sarah Ellen Gowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hillary Burris, and later married Fred Fudge.

Wynema, 96 years of Breeding, KY passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center in Columbia, KY.

Funeral service: Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Troy Elmore officiating. Interment in the Antioch Cemetery, 3422 Wheeler Hill Road,Columbia, KY, in the Sparksville community of Adair County. The family requests visiting after 4:30pmCT, on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born October 17, 1917 near Sparksville, KY the daughter of the late Ed and Sarah Ellen Gowen, She died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 96 years, eight months, and eight days.

Mrs. Fudge was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hillary Burris; brothers, Ruel Gowen and Wlmer Gowen and a sister Blanche Loy.

She later married Fred Fudge of Breeding, KY who survives.

She is further survived by the following:
  • A step son: Mike Fudge, and wife Sue of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Three step grandchildren: Randy Walden, Paul Walden, Renea Crowe

  • Eight great grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Fudge was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
