She was a native of Lowell, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of her death. As a young lady, she moved to Ohio where she married her sweetheart, Bud Rutherford, who survives, and together they shared many cherished years. She leaves 14 direct and 2 step living descendants.

Mrs. Billie Lynn Rutherford of Columbia, KY, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 31, 2014 after an illness. She was 69 years of age.

The family will announce and host a memorial service in Ohio at a later date.

Mrs. Rutherford was born to Bill and Emma (Allen) Broyles on, Thursday, December 14, 1944 in Lowell, Garrard County, KY. She died Saturday, May 31, 2014, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 17 days.

As a young lady, she moved to Ohio where she married her sweetheart, Bud Rutherford, and together they shared many cherished years.

Mrs. Rutherford leaves to mourn for passing:
  • Her husband: George "Bud" Rutherford of Columbia, KY

  • Her parents: Bill and Emma Broyles of Ohio

  • Two daughters: Julie Boatman and husband Perry, and Kristy Marshall and husband Chris, all of Ohio

  • Two sisters: Gail Hamilton and Carol Music, also of Ohio

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two step-grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • And several other relatives and friends
