Lucille Judd Henderson, Green County, KY (1923-2014)

She a beloved Green Countian. She was a native of Metcalfe County and a resident of a resident of Green County, KY at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Noah and Dove Robertson Judd. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Trammell Creek Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union. She was the widow of Maxie P. Henderson. She leaves 34 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Lucille Judd Henderson, 90, departed this life Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Golden Living-Green Hill Manor, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be in the Trammell Creek Baptist Church in the Pierce Community of Green County, KY, at 2pmCT, Friday, May 30, 2014. Visitation will be 5pm-9pmCT, Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Todd Young, Rev. Lee Warf and Rev. Mark Graham, the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Phillips Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Melvin Lile, Brent Lile, James Wallace, Ricky Atwell, Rick Kerr, and Jim Frank.

Honorary Pallbearers: Women's Mission Union (WMU) of Trammel Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lucille Judd Henderson was born Wednesday, September 21, 1923 in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Noah and Dove Robertson Judd. She departed this life Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 90 years, 8 months and 6 days.


Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Maxie P. Henderson; one son, Maxie Clemmon (Timmy) Henderson; daughter-in-law: Juanita Henderson, two brothers, Stanley and Cecil Judd; one sister, Madeline South; and two step brothers, Howard Thompson and Jessie Thompson.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert L. and Jackie Henderson of Illinois; Billy and Jacinta Henderson of Hinesville, Georgia; and J.T. and Jorena Henderson of Greensburg, KY

  • One brother: Robert Judd of Middletown, Ohio

  • Four step sisters: Ann Pierce of Greensburg, KY; and Ruth Stevens, Mable Oakes and Ruby Witty, all of Glasgow, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Twenty-one great grandchildren.
