Mrs. Rachel Gayle (Perkins) Cofer, Taylor Co., KY (1956-2014)

Although disabled, Mrs. Cofer loved being outside, especially fishing, as her health permitted. She had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rachel Gayle (Perkins) Cofer, 58, of Campbellsville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at her home.

There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Cofer on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718, at 10amCT/11amET. Bro. Jamie Bennett and Bro. Landon Hadley will officiate The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, May 29, from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET.


Pallbearers: James Scott, Eric Armstrong, Mark Shreve, Brian Seals, Ricky Brown, and Courtney Seals. Her grandchildren will stand as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Rachel Gayle (Perkins) Cofer, of Campbellsville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at her home. She was the daughter of Mrs. Anna Margaret (Harrison) Perkins and the late Morris Glen Perkins.She was 58 years, 1 month, and 10 days of age.

Although disabled, Mrs. Cofer loved being outside, especially fishing, as her health permitted. She had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cofer leaves to mourn her passing:
  • Two daughters: Karen Corbin of Campbellsville, KY; and Rachel Armstrong and husband Eric, also of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her mother: Margaret (Harrison) Perkins of Campbellsville. KY

  • Four grandchildren: Courtney Gayle Seals, Joseph Dylan Price, Hailey Lynn Armstrong, and Logan Eric Tyler Armstrong, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her best friend: Kathy Rogers of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other family and friends
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses, and can be made at the funeral home.
