Elsie Venola Jeffries, 84, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. May 10, 2014)

She was the daughter of the late William Claudie and Alma Gertrude Wilkerson Jeffries. She was retired from Metcalfe County Health Care and a member of the New Beginnings Church of God. She was the daughter of the late William Claudie and Alma Gertrude Wilkerson Jeffries. She leaves 41 direct living descendants.

Elsie Venola Jeffries age 84 of Edmonton died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, and after 9amCT, Wednesday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late William Claudie and Alma Gertrude Wilkerson Jeffries. She was retired from Metcalfe County Health Care and a member of the New Beginnings Church of God.
  • She is survived by five sons: Billy and wife Judy Jeffries, Terry and wife Marsha Jeffries, Johnny and wife Teresa Compton, and Benny and wife Melissa Jeffries all of Edmonton, KY; and Roy and wife Debbie Jeffries of Nashville, TN

  • One daughter: Linda Riggle of Louisville, KY

  • Nineteen grandchildren: Angie Schueler, Missy Lemmons, Britt Jeffries, Sondra Jennings, Joseph Jeffries, Adam Jeffries, Holly Chran, Sophia Jeffries, Gavin Jeffries, Amanda Newman, Tiffany Wilkerson, Tabitha Spencer, Tanya Brown, Shannon Jeffries, Joshua Jeffries, Kayla Jeffries, Larissa Compton, Samantha Young and Celissa Collins

  • Twenty one great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Trousdale and several brothers and sisters.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 E. Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
