Eva Mae Young age 82 of the Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at Cumberland County Hospital. Eva Mae was born on March 18, 1932 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Marvin Thomas and Nell Margaret White Thomas.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 09, 2014 at 10amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation 3pm-9pmCT, Thursday, May 08, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY.

Eva Mae Young was born on March 18, 1932 in Barren County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Thomas and Nell Margaret White Thomas. She died Tuesday, May 06, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and a homemaker and farmer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wyndell Derry Young on October 09, 1972, one grandson, Richard Carl Young, and one brother, Bobby Gene Thomas.

Survivors Include:
  • Two sons: Derry Young of Murfreesboro, TN and Doug Young of Paducah, KY

  • Three grandchildren: C.J. Young, Branden Young, and Haylee Young

  • Five step grandchildren: Kenneth DeWeese, Amanda Patterson, Brandy McCue, Kayla McCue, Colin Inman

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
