Hadus Geraldine Guffey, 73, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at Manntown Cemetery, Jamestown, KY, at 12pmCT, on Monday, May 5, 2014. Interment at Manntown Cemetery Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.



Hadus Geraldine Guffey, Russell County, KY (1940-2014)

She was born in Jamestown, Russell County, Kentucky on Sunday, May 12, 1940. She was a daughter of the late Bill and Rittie Dykes Guffey. She died Friday, May 2, 2014, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, at the age of 73 years, 11 months, and and 20 days.

She attended The River Church and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Geraldine is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Beverly Payne, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sons: Bryan, husband of Barbara Payne, of Indianapolis, IN; James Pedigo, of Old Hickory, TN; and Jason Payne, of Nashville, TN

  • Six grandchildren: Dylan Payne, Brooke Payne, Carter Payne, Christina Warriner, Keith Warriner, and Stephannie Warriner

  • Nine great-grandchildren: Christiana Lockard, Kyler Lockard, Chrysten Warriner and Destannie Troxtle, Trysta Troxtle, Anthony Warriner, Jayson Warriner, Alex Warriner and Mac Whittle

  • Three sisters: Emily Guffey, of Russell Springs, KY; Virginia Mena, of Nashville, TN; Doris Hilbert, of California

  • Seven brothers: Mac Arthur Guffey, of Louisville, Kentucky; Ransom Guffey, of Jamestown, Kentucky; Benny Jo Guffey, of Alabama; Darrell Guffey, of Mt. Julliet, TN; Jimmy Guffey, of Russell Springs, KY; Billy Bob Guffey, of Louisville, KY; Ricky Guffey, of Simpsonville, KY

  • A host of nieces and nephews also survive
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Gene Payne and a daughter Barbara Jean Payne.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
