Mr. William (Bill) Lingle, Green Co., KY (1930-2014)

He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of he late Earl Preston Lingle and Melvina Jane Mudd Anderson Lingle and the widower of Mary Lou Graham Lingle. He leaves 16 direct living descendants. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He had a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was a retired security guard for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #774 in Louisville, KY.

Mr. William "Bill" Lingle, 84, Greensburg, KY, departed this life Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

A Masonic Service was held at 6:30pmCT, Monday, April 28, 2014, by the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & AM at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, with the funeral service, with Rev. Dale Curry officiating, immediately following the Masonic Service. Committal service Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Greensburg Mausoleum.

Mr. William "Bill" Lingle was born Tuesday, March 5, 1930 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Earl Preston Lingle and Melvina Jane Mudd Anderson Lingle. He departed this life Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, having attained the age of 84 years, 1 month and 21 days.

Bill had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He had a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was a retired security guard for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #774 in Louisville, KY.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Graham Lingle and one half- brother: Harold Anderson. He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Byron Keith Lingle of Robinson, Illinois; and Gregory Todd Lingle of Louisville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Matthew and Monica Lingle, R.D. Workman, Jessica Kendell and Anthony Workman

  • Nine great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jase Byron, Haley, McKayla, Elyssa, Katlyn, Jordyn, Ryan and Gage

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends

Foster-Curry-Toler Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Kosair Children's Hospital. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
