She was the daughter of the late Robert Morris & Thelma Preston Vaught and the widow of Leonard Vaught. She leaves 13 direct and 10 step living descendants. She was a factory worker and attended Faith General Independent Church.

Barbara Ann Coppage, 71, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service for Barbara Ann Coppage will be 1pmCT, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT, Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Coppage Family Cemetery.




Pallbearers: Leonard Coppage, Jonathan Oakes, Nick Coppage, Kyle Webber, Johnny Corner, and Bobby Corner.

She was born Saturday, February 6, 1943 in Boyle County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Robert Morris & Thelma Preston Vaught. She died Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 21 days.

She was a factory worker and attended Faith General Independent Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Coppage and a brother, James Vaught.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Gary (Marsha) Coppage, and Robert (Loretta) Coppage, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two daughters: Joyce Ann (Dewell) Oakes, Columbia, KY; and Charlotte (Ronnie) Hudson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Five step grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • Five step great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Laverne Byrd, Danville, KY and Carolyn Papard, Junction City, KY

  • Two brothers: Charles Vaught, Danville, KY; and Donald Vaught, Hustonville, KY
