Ralph J. Cole, 90, Cumberland County, KY (1923-2014)

He was a retired employee of Cannell Construction Company, a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Smith Grove, KY, and a was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late Kirk Leslie Cole and Audrey Lowe Cole. His wife, Waneta Thomas Cole, survives.

Ralph J. Cole age 90 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

A celebration of the life of Ralph J. Cole will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 12pm noon CT until service time at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.



Ralph J. Cole, 90, Cumberland County, KY (1923-2014)


He was born on Saturday, December 01, 1923 in Barren County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Kirk Leslie Cole and Audrey Lowe Cole. He died Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 25 days.

Mr. Cole was a retired employee of Cannell Construction Company, a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Smith Grove, KY, and a was an Army Veteran of World War II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Cole and Donald L. Cole, and one sister, Eleanor Cole Dawsey. Survivors include:
  • His wife: Waneta Thomas Cole of Burkesville, KY

  • Three Brothers: David G. Cole and his wife Lucille, and Willard D. Cole and his wife Mary Ann all of Bowling Green, KY; and Steven H. Cole and his wife Marcie of Westfield, Indiana

  • Two Sisters: Kathaleen Cole Schickel of New Albany, IN, and Joanne Cole Puckett of Bowling Green, KY

  • One local nephew: Thomas J. Brown and his wife Carol of Burkesville, KY

  • and a host of other nephews, nieces, and friends
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the American Cancer Society.
