Meet Darrell & Sandy Scott of Shady Ridge Nursery

Darrell Scott works at Fruit of the Loom, Sandy Scott at Amazon.com. They're also building a nursery business at Breeding, KY and developing their market utilizing the Farmers Market on the Square The Scotts will be at the next FM2, 8am-1pmCT, Saturday, April 26, 2014, in the Adair Annex parking lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

Darrell and Sandy Scott started growing fruit trees three years ago and have expanded Shady Ridge Nursery into a business selling many different shrubs, plants and trees.

They are participating in the Farmers Market on the Square for the second year and are looking forward to many more seasons at the market.



Sandy works full time at Amazon.com in Campbellsville, KY, and Darrell works at Fruit of the Loom in Jamestown, KY, but is looking forward to spending more time working in the nursery in the near future.

They plan on expanding their nursery located in Breeding, KY, by building at least two greenhouses, which will enable them to grow more product, including produce.
