Update on Wet/Dry Petition being circulated Should anyone wish to comments on the issue they may do so, but please follow the highest standards of civil discourse. - EW Click on headline for article with copy of petition By Ed Waggener A copy of the Wet/Dry petition now being circulated in Adair County, KY, by Paul Carter, 105 Richards Lane, Columbia, KY, Phone 270-384-1650. The petition reads: "We, the undersigned registered voters hereby petition for an election on the following question: Are you in favor of the sale of alchoholic beverages in Adair County, Kentucky? following all guidelines of KRS242.20?Under the heading, "PETITION IN FAVOR OF WET/DRY VOTE - Adair County, KY, the copy has 17 lines with spaces for name, address, D.O.B. / SSN, Date, and signature. According to County Court Clerk Joyce Rodgers, a petition would have to almost 1800 verified signatures of registered Adair County voters in order for a special Wet-Dry Election to be held.
