Billie Frank McDowell, Burkesville, KY (1946-2014)

He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Artemus Norris, Sr., and Ruth McDowell. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Burkesville New Community Church, and had worked at Tyson Bearing and Bob Evans Apparel.

Billie Frank McDowell age 67 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 12pm noon CT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Rev. James Starks officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Chapel Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends, 5pm-9pmCT, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY.



Billie Frank McDowell, Burkesville, KY (1946-2014)

Billie was born on August 27, 1946 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Artemus Norris, Sr., and Ruth McDowell. He died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, and 19 days.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Burkesville New Community Church, and had worked at Tyson Bearing and Bob Evans Apparel.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Gene Norris, and one sister Ollie Mae Norris. Survivors Include:
  • Two sisters: Lucy McDowell of Louisville, KY and Ann Norris Jones and her husband Dennis of Knob Lick, KY

  • Six brothers: Mikel McKinley Norris and his wife Hilda of Burkesville, KY; William Kyle Norris and his wife Anne of Louisville, KY; Clarence Ray Norris and his wife Betty of Glasgow, KY; Randle Russell Norris and his wife Joan of Glasgow, KY; Artemus Norris, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Glasgow, KY; and Christopher Gene Norris of Glasgow, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
