Bettye Faye Gilpin Mann, 76, Taylor Co., KY (1937-2014)

She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of Contra Costa County, CA, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Harry GIlpin and Gladys Gaye Sullivan Gilpin. Her husband of 59 years, Lloyd C. Mann, survives. She leaves six direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and attended Christian Fellowship Church in California and Beech Grove Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY.

Bettye Faye Gilpin Mann of California, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, died at 12:15amET, Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Concord, California.

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Parrott &Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Mark Graham. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT-5pm-8pmET, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Parrott & Rmasey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Mike Dahlstorm, Bill Gilpin, Larry Gilpin, Don Mann, Steve Mann, and Kyle Milby.

Bettye Faye Gilpin Mann of California, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Harry Gilpin and Gladys Faye Sullivan Gilpin, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 1, 1937. She died Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Concord, Contra Costa County, CA, at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

She professed faith in Christ and attended Christian Fellowship Church in California and Beech Grove Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY.

She was a retired teller at Wells Fargo Bank.

She is united in marriage to Lloyd C. Mann March 4, 1955.

Besides her husband, Lloyd C. Mann of California, she is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Steve Mann and wife, Maria of Concord, California; and Tammy Dahlstrom and husband, Mike of Fox Island, Washington, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Shane Mann and Thomas Mann of Concord, CA; and Kaysea Dahlstrom and Charlie Dahlstrom of Fox Island, Washington

  • One brother: Bobby Gilpin and wife, Peggy of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law: Bettye Sue Gilpin of Campbellsville, KY; and Joan Mann of San Clemente, CA

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Lee Gilpin August 6, 2006.
