Nelda Ferguson, Adair County, KY (1941-2014)

She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was a a member of a large, highly regarded Adair County family, the daughter of the lae William "Bill" & Cecil Marie Burton Knight. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ferguson of Knifley, KY. She leaves 18 direct living descendants. She was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church & retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville with over 33 years service there.

Nelda Ferguson age 73 years of Knifley, KY formerly of the Christine community passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:25 AM at Taylor Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday April 10, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Troy Long the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery, 6090 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

She was born on Monday February 3, 1941 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" & Cecil Marie Burton Knight of Adair County, KY. She died Monday, April 7, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Knight.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray Ferguson, of Knifley, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Barry Ferguson of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Angela Andrew & her husband Troy of Glensfork, KY

  • Two brothers: William Knight, Jr. of Columbia, KY, and Ronnie Knight of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Phyllis Fisher of Louisville, KY and Eileen Bottoms of Antioch, TN

  • Six grandchildren: Bradley Ferguson, Jennifer Godsey, Dustin Ferguson, Brianna Brock, Chelsey Andrew and Trenton Andrew

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church & retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville with over 33 years service there.
