Audrey Arlyene Pedigo Perkins, Summer Shade, KY (1920-2014)

She was a native of the Wisom Community of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Summer Shade, Metcalfe County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Roxie Hurt Pedigo. She was the widow of the late Denzil Ray Perkins. She was a housewife and a member of the Hickory College Church of Christ.

Audrey Arlyene Pedigo Perkins, age 93, of Summer Shade, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at T J Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 2pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. Burial will be in The Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday, March 29 at 2pmCT, at the funeral home.

She was born Saturday, April 3, 1920 in the Wisdom community of Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Roxie Hurt Pedigo. She died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

She was the widow of the late Denzil Ray Perkins. She was a housewife and a member of the Hickory College Church of Christ.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters; Carolyn (Tom) Turner, The Villages, FL; Virginia Perkins, Glasgow, KY; and Kim Perkins, Edmonton, Edmonton, KY

  • Two sons: Stanley (Kay) Perkins, Summer Shade, KY; and Jeff (Kim) Perkins, Hiseville, KY

  • One sister: Helen Lawson, Glasgow, KY; and one brother, Raymond Pedigo, Hiseville, KY

  • Six grandchildren and several great grand children

  • One daughter in law: Lana Perkins
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Louie Dale and Billy Dean Perkins; and one daughter Nancy Haile; a daughter in law Nell Perkins; and one sister and three brothers.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Fire Department.
