Ruth Winborn, Standifer Gap Road,Chattanooga, TN, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Martin Bloyd Assisted Living, Chattanooga, TN. She was 93.

The uneral service will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with the family officiating. Visitation wil be Saturday, 5pm-8pmCT, and Sunday, 10am-1pmCT, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jamestown Cemetery, N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

She was born, Friday, February 4, 1921, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph McFarland and the late Maude (Looper) McFarland. She died Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN, at the age of 93 years, 1 months, and 16 days.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Doug Winborn, Chattanooga, TN

  • A brother: carson McFarland, Mobile, AL

  • Three grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Winborn; two brothers, Clifton and Earl McFarland; and four sisters, Audrey Lester, Mayme Reese, Wilma Mason, and Evelyn Cox.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
