He was a native of Jefferson County, KY and a resident of Adair County at the time of his death. He was a member of a large, highly regarded South Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late Harold Reece Harvey and Lena Christine Flatt Harvey. He was a kind, thoughtful man, an avid Harvey family genealogist, a inquisitive student of nature, with a special gift for photography, research, and writing. His wife, Cynthia Gault Harvey, survives. He leaves 8 direct and 6 step living descendants. He was former manager of Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken in Columbia, KY.

Tony Lynn Harvey age 57 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday March 20, 2014 at 8:32pmCT, at his home in Columbia, KY after several months illness.

Funeral service Sunday March 23, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers the officiating clergy. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, Saturday, March 22, 2014.

He was born Friday, May 25, 1956 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was the son of the late Harold Reece Harvey and Lena Christine Flatt Harvey. He died Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 57 years, 9 months, and 26 days.

He was preceded in death by a brother Darrell Harvey.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Gault Harvey of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Bryan Harvey of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Aundria McQueary & husband Chris of Columbia, KY

  • Step-children Mellisa Kersey & husband Ron of Philadelphia, PA; T. J. Bach & wife Megan Bach of Philadelphia, PA; Vince Bach & wife Genni of Philadelphia, PA

  • One sister: Diane Burris and husband Phillip of Tuscola, Illinois

  • One brother: Mitch Harvey of Smiths Grove, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Isabella Harvey, Sara and Hailey Beth Rowe and Hagen McQueary
  • Two step-grandchildren: Caitlin and Gabe Kersey

  • Nieces ANDnephews: Todd & Mark Burris, Keirsten Jaggers and Lean Conklin

  • And a host of other relatives and friends survive
