Mrs. Lula Belle Gribbins Bright, of Campbellsville, passed away at her home on Monday, March 17, 2014. She was 78 years of age. The funeral service for Mrs Lula Belle Gribbins Bright will be held at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 1pmET/2pmCT with interment to follow in the Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. David Boils will officiate, with Bro. Wayne Qualls assisting. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 after 4pmCT/5pmET.



Pallbearers are Timmy Johnson, Andrew Florez, Eric Ford, Randy Burns, David Riggins, James McNear, Jason McNear, Ricky Johnson, and Cole Moran.

Mrs. Lula Belle Gribbins Bright was born August 14, 1935. She died March 17, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 3 days.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. Mrs. Bright had professed faith in Christ was a member of the Faith Alive Ministries in Campbellsville, KY.

Mrs. Lula Bright is survived by:
  • Her daughter: Cindy Underwood and husband Phillip of Campbellsville, KY

  • Cindy's father: Leonard Bright of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Hilda Cleaver and husband Larry of Campbellsville, KY; and Pearl Garrett of Indianapolis, IN

  • Three grandchildren: Felicia Cole Moran, Cambry Underwood, and Zachary Underwood, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lena Childers Gribbins; one son, Dale Thomas Bright; one sister, Audrey Jean Carter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
