Mr. Danny Dale Burress, Taylor Co., KY (1959-2014)

He was a native of Taylor County and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late William Harold "Bo" and Edna Ruth Farmer Burress. He had deep roots in Adair and Taylor Counties and elsewhere. Mr. Burress was a former construction worker and farmer, and served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Mr. Danny Dale Burress, departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Taylor County at his residence.

There will be a graveside service for Mr. Danny Dale Burress, on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1pmCT/2pmET at the Callahan Cemetery, beside the Feathersburg Church of God on Speck Ridge Road, in Adair COunty, KY, with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Christopher L. Copher will be officiating. Visitation for Mr. Burress will be on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY from 9:30amCT/10:30amET until 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET.



Pallbearers are: Greg Farmer, Larry Wise, Harold Wise, Daniel Mings, Randall Price, Johnny Burress, and David Burress.

Mr. Danny Dale Burress, the son of the late William Harold "Bo" and Edna Ruth (Farmer) Burress, was born Saturday, July 5, 1959 in Taylor County and departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Taylor County, KY. at his residence. He was 55 years, 7 months and 26 days of age.

Mr. Burress was a former construction worker and farmer, and served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Survivors include in following:
  • Three sisters and spouses: Betty Eastridge and husband Byron of Columbia, KY; Bernice Wood and husband Tommy of Columbia, KY; and Bonnie Harper and husband Noel of Edinburgh, Indiana

  • Three brothers and spouses: Jimmy Burress and wife Connie, David Burress and wife Juanita, and Johnny Burress and wife Sharon, all of Elkhorn, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Burress.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses and may be made here or at the funeral home.

The L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
