Mr. Louis Randall Ervin of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 53.

The funeral services for Mr. Louis Randall Ervin were conducted at 11amCT, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Greasy Creek Baptist Church with burial following in the Greasy Creek Cemetery with military honors. Bro. Roger Robertson, Bro. Gary Ervin officiated. Pallbearers: Nicholas Paxton, Noah Curry, Casey Burris, Reid Warren, Josh Coffey, Dewey Matney, and John Thomas Pruitt. Honorary: Steven Houk and Matthew Pruitt.

Mr. Louis Randall Ervin of Greensburg, Kentucky, was the son of the late William Elwood Ervin and Lissie Mae Ervin. He was born on May 12, 1960 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 53 years, 8 months, and 24 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He was employed with TG Kentucky and was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Mr. Ervin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sandy Houk Ervin of Greensburg having united in marriage on February 14, 1987, and the following:
  • Three sons and daughters-in-law: Jared and Tara Ervin of Greensburg, Ky; Scott and Karin Paxton of Mt. Washington, KY; and Jonathan and Cindy Paxton of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Nicholas Paxton, Emma Paxton, and Callie Grace Paxton

  • Mother-in-law: Callie Houk of Greensburg; four sisters and one brother; and a host of other relatives and friends.
