Mary Ruth Butler Murley, Burkesville, KY (1926-2014) She was, before her retirement in 1997, employed as a Kentucky Bookmobile driver in Cumberland County for 34 years, longer than anyone else in the state at that time. She a member of Leslie United Methodist Church, and most of all a loving mother. She was a native of Cumberland County and a resident at the time of her death. She was a member of a large, highly regarded family, the daughter of the late J.F. Butler and Cora Cary Butler. She was the widow of Norman Murley. She leaves 19 direct living descendants. Mary Ruth Butler Murley, Burkesville, KY (1926-2014) Mrs. Ruth was born on Wednesday, August 25, 1926 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late J.F. Butler and Cora Cary Butler. She died February 6, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 11 days. She was, before her retirement in 1997, employed as a Kentucky Bookmobile driver in Cumberland County for 34 years, longer than anyone else in the state at that time. She a member of Leslie United Methodist Church, and most of all a loving mother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Murley, three brothers, Terry Butler, Paul Butler, and Stanley Butler, and a brother-in-law, Bill Murley.
