He was a Veteran of the Korean War, Member of the American Legion Post #865 in Christiana, PA and a member of Magnolia Christian Church in Harrodsburg, KY. He was the son of the late Elmer and Gertrude Mullens Weir. He leaves 38 direct living descendants and 4 step living descendants.

Edward Elmer Weir age 75 passed away on Saturday February 1, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY from a long illness of cancer and lung disease.

Funeral Services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday February 8, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 11:30amCT/12:30pmET, Saturday February 8, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



Survivors include:
  • One son: Edward T. Weir of Sadsberry, PA

  • Two daughters: Rhonda Belloma and Cindy Robinette both of Honeybrook, PA

  • One step-son: Granvle Luttrell of Merritt Island, FL,

  • Three step-daughters: Sheila Luttrell of Grand Rapids, MI; Eva Martin of Vincennes, IN; and Kimberly Daulton of Vallonia, IN

  • Twenty grandchildren

  • Fifteen great-grandchildren
Preceding him in death besides his parents was One Sister: Verna W. Mann and One Step-Son: Steven Luttrell.
