Kenny (Pops) Mings, 70, of Campbellsville, died at 1:45pmET, Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Campbellsville, KY,

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, February 5, 2014at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, in Campbellsville by Bro. Don Gowin. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the funeral home.

Kenny (Pops) Mings of Campbellsville, son of the late Jesse Mings and Lorene Stayton Mings, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, Monday, November 29, 1943. He died Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was active in the Emmaus Community.

He served his country honorably in the Kentucky National Guard.

He was a member of Lebanon Masonic Lodge #87 F&AM.

He was a former bread truck driver and carpenter.

Mr. Mings is survived by former wife, Beverly Cox Mings of Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • One step-daughter: Sherry Graybeal of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five step-grandchildren: Lauren Simpson, Casey Sallee, Carlee Sallee, Levi Sallee and Jeffrey Howard of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four step-great-grandchildren

  • Three brothers: Jesse Mings Jr. and wife, Shirley, Darryel Mings and Dean Mings of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four nieces and three nephews: Tracey Weddle, Kristen Dean, Deanna Borgmann, Nikki Price, Ryan Mings, Dustin Mings and Kevin Mings

  • and many other relatives and friends
