Janice Carman McElroy, age 73, of Danville, KY passed away on Saturday February 1, 2014, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday February 4, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.Visitation will be held 4pmCT/5pmET on Monday February 3rd, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Bro. Ronnie Haste and Bro. Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the K.P. Hall Cemetery.

Janice Carman McElroy was born in Yosemite, Casey County, KY on January 7, 1941. She was the daughter the late Clyde C. and Magnolia Statham Durham. She died on Saturday February 1, 2014, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 25 days.

She was a former employee of the Salvation Army and Gentiva and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Frank McElroy and Arlious Carman.

Survivors include:
  • Four Sons: Jeffery and (Donna) Carman of Liberty, KY; Michael and (Deborah) Carman of Middleburg, Kevin and (Jenna) Carman of Yosemite, KY; and John and (Angela) Carman of Berea, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Craig, Chad, Chris, Matthew, Jonathan, Jeremy, Adam, Meagan and Haley Carman, Lori Brown and Ashley Vest

  • Eight great-grandchildren

  • One brother: Norman Durham of Milford, OH

  • Two sisters: Joyce Lloyd of Cincinnati, OH and Jewell Hawkins of Yosemite, KY

  • and two half-sisters: Kim Edwards of Liberty, KY; and Marsha Salyers of Kings Mountain, KY
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husbands was one sister: Joan Russell and one half-sister: Connie Dick.
