Several candidates to be on the Adair County ballot this year are home free, with no opposition after the filing deadline Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Barring the unlikely event of either write-in opposition or of an Independent filing (Independent candidates faces an April intention deadline and an August 12, 2014 filing deadline) these candidates have no opposition and are virtually elected:
  • KY State Representative John Bam Carney, 51st District, KY House of Representatives, Adair & Taylor Counties.
  • Circuit Court Judge Judy Vance, Adair & Casey Counties
  • District Judge Michael Loy, Adair & Casey Counties
  • Adair County PVA Jeff Feese
  • Adair County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin
  • Adair County Coroner Todd Akin
  • Adair County Magistrate District 3 Sammy Baker
After the drawing for ballot position this afternoon, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Courthouse Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, CM will post the list by candidates by position, party, and ballot position.
