Mr. Lloyd Norris Scott, Greensburg, KY (1947-2014)

He leaves many relatives in Adair and Green County. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Scott was a farmer, carpenter, and merchant. He owned and operated a concession stand known as the "Greasy Spoon Cafe"; was maintenance supervisor for the Shelton Trailer Court; and had ministered various churches in Adair and Casey counties.

Mr. Lloyd Norris Scott, age 66, of Greensburg, KY, passed away Thursday at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

The family has chosen private services for Mr. Lloyd Norris Scott. Interment is at the Loy Cemetery, 1740 Loy Cemetery Road, Adair County, KY.

He was the son of the late Troy Stanley Scott and Myrtie Shaw Scott. He was born Sunday, September 14, 1947. He died January 16, 2014, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Scott was a farmer, carpenter, and merchant. He owned and operated a concession stand known as the "Greasy Spoon Cafe"; was maintenance supervisor for the Shelton Trailer Court; and had ministered various churches in Adair and Casey counties. Besides his parents, Mr. Scott was also preceded in death by his wife: Gladys Bennett Scott on October 24, 2005 having united in marriage on July 24, 1971.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters and a son-in-law: Kim Scott of Greensburg, KY; Toni Lee & Tony Adkins of Columbia, KY; and Gail Power of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Carolyn Scott of Greensburg, KY; Marilyn Huckelbee of Burkesville, KY; and Shiela Ray of Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Hunter Adkins, Brandon Jones, Kendra Smith, Heather Power, and Lindsey Power, all of Columbia, KY

  • Special Friends: Lois Baker and family, Larry Viers, and Tim Carlisle, all of Greensburg, KY
The family has requested donations be made to the Greensburg Baptist Church Childrens Ministry, these can be made at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY.
