Dennie E. Luttrell, Windsor, KY (1931-2014)

He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late Thomas Henry and Martha Roy Luttrell. He is survived by his wife of over 69 years, Helen Stargle Luttrell. He leaves 27 direct living descendants. Dennie was a sawmill worker, farmer, and attended the Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church

Dennie E. Luttrell, of Windsor, KY, passed away at 5:37pmET, on Friday, January 10, 2014, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY He was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, January 13, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennie's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Born Friday, February 6, 1931, in Casey Co., KY, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry and Martha Roy Luttrell. He died on Friday, January 10, 2014, at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 4 days.

Dennie was a sawmill worker, farmer, and attended the Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, whom he wed October 3, 1954, Helen Stargle Luttrell, and the following:
  • Two sons: Gerald (Alice) Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY, and and Frankie (Tammy) Luttrell of Dunnville, KY

  • Six daughters: Cookie (Mike) Brown of Russell Springs, KY; Lilly (Alan) Patterson of Windsor, KY; Lindy (Trent) Roy of Dunnville, KY; Birbby (Kenny) Murphy of Liberty, KY; Sally (Joel) Pike of Somerset, KY; and Lucretia (Matt) Jewell of Smith's Grove

  • Thirteen grandchildren, Amanda, Crystal, Josh, Jenny, Jason, Travis, Chris, John, Morgan, Matthew, Ryan, Ashley, and Kyle

  • Six great grandchildren: Bella, Jack, Zack, Bentley, Landon, and Carter

  • And several nieces, nephews, and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Albert, and Bennie Luttrell; and four sisters, Inas Luttrell, Ina Luttrell, Mayrene Childress, and Betty Brockman. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
