Mr. Don Davis, age 63, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Don Davis will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT on Thursday, January 9, 2014 until the funeral hour on Friday.



Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Darryl Miller, Jeremy Wright, Chris Dial, Billy Cole and Allen Sewell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kermit Grider, Dr. Samuel Rice, John David Gray and Jerry Don Staley.

Mr. Don Davis, 63, Burkesville, KY (1950-2014)

He was born in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky on Tuesday, March 28, 1950. He was the son of Elver Ray and Jewell Radford Davis. He died Monday, January 6, 2014 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, Kentucky, at the age of 63 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Doug Davis and his special uncle, Hayden Davis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ricki Sharon Thomas Davis of Burkesville, Kentucky, his mother, Jewell Radford Davis of Burkesville, Kentucky, and the following:
  • His brother: Daryl (and Jimmie Carolyn) Davis of London, Kentucky

  • His brothers-in-law: Terry Thomas of Burkesville, Kentucky, and, Mark (and Michelle) Thomas of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His sister-in-law: Kathy Garner Davis of Somerset, Kentucky

  • His nieces: Karissa Cooper, Kami Hicks, Melanie Minga, his nephews, Tate Thomas and Trent Thomas

  • And his loyal companion of eight years, "Mr. Bear"
In lieu of flowers contributions appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Smith Grove United Methodist Church, Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates and the American Diabetes Foundation.
