Virginia Dean Nash, 63, of Columbia, KY, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:30amET, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, January 1, 2013, at the funeral home.



Casket bearers: Craig Dial, Eric Dial, Jordan Baker, Cameron Barnett, Bryan Kelsay II, DeCarr Matney, Chance Barnett, and Jaykob Lee.

Honorary: Jeff Barnett, Chris Darnell, Cheyenne Dial, Ronnie Lee Dial, Bud Dial, and James Gullion.

She was born April 10, 1950, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Lucille Burton Nash. She died Monday, December 30, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 63 years, 8 months, and 20 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Carolyn Lou & Patricia Ann Nash. She attended Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.

Survivors include:
  • One sister: Shirley York (Rondal Matthews) of Columbia, KY

  • Two nieces & two nephews : Annita Barnett, Melissa Matthews, Craig & Eric Dial all of Columbia, KY

  • Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews: Tonya Baker Reynolds, Jordan Baker, Cameron Barnett, Kortnei Kelsay, Jaireka Barnett, Bryan Kelsay II, DeCarr Matney, Chance Barnett, Jaykob Lee, Jenna Keitha Lee, Kantlee Harvey, Ethan, Dalton, Bently, Pixie, Aiden and Serenity Dial, Harley Hensley, Wayne Tidwell, Brandie Merritt

  • Great-Great Nieces: Mariah Kelsay, Laramie Patience Baldwin, Chloe Matney

  • Great-Great Nephew: Colton Nunn

  • One aunt: Elizabeth York

  • Special friends who were like sisters: Patty Stubbs, Becky Dial, Mildred Phillips and Jane Payton

  • Special Grandpa & Grandma: Eddie & Betty Matthews
