Arvil Ray Roy, 64, of Magnolia, KY, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services for Arvil Ray Roy will be 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. John R. Clark officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Don McCullough, Mike McCullough, Tim Martin, Dwight Roy, Chris Roy, Brandon Luttrell, Scott Wiark, and Eric Kodana.

He was born Thursday, April 28, 1949 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Monroe & Zelva Wilson Roy. He died Monday, December 30, 2013, in Magnolia, KY, at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 2 days.

He was a construction worker and a member of the Rough Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded inn death by a brother, Leonard Roy.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two children: Jeannine Roy, Russell Springs, KY; and Steven Roy, Warner Robbins, GA

  • Five grandchildren: Dallas Roy, Shelby Goodin, Hannah Goodin, Amber Slayton, and James Wyatt

  • One sister: Sherry Martin, Cecilia, KY

  • Three brothers: Floyd Roy, Russell Springs, KY; Avery Roy, Cecilia, KY; and Louis Roy, Indiana
