Clarice Helen Arnett, 100, of Charlestown, passed away, Sunday , December 29, 2013 at Providence Retirement Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12pmCT/1pmET, at the Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown, IN, with burial in the Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013, from 3pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Tuesday.

She was born on Monday, August 25, 1913 to William and Emma (Robertson) Houk in Green Co., KY. She died Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Indiana at the age of 100 years, 4 months, and 4 days. She was a retired inspector for the old ICI Americas, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James; her son, Gleason Arnett; and a grandson, David Arnett. Survivors include

  • Her sons, James Arnett (Carol) of Charlestown, IN; and Michael Arnett (Barbara) of Port Orange, FL

  • Daughter-in-law: Molane Arnett of Waynesburg, KY

  • Grandchildren: Angela, Michael Lee, Erin, and Megan

  • Great-grandchildren: Heather, Tiffany, Nathaniel, David Jr., and Andrew
The family would like to thank Providence Retirement Home for the loving care she received while a resident.
