She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Cumberland County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the widow of Finis Perry Smith. She leaves 23 direct living descendants. She was a former employee of Bob Evans and member of Highland Chapel United Methodist Church.

Norma Smith age 91 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11amCT/12pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Rev. R. Thomas Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family requests visitation 3pm-9pmCT/4pm-10pmET, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

Norma Smith was born Monday, December 26, 1921 in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Garvin and Lula Fields Jessie. She died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 91 years 11 months, and 29 days.

She was a former employee of Bob Evans and member of Highland Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Finis Perry Smith.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Jimmy Smith and Benny Smith, both of Burkesville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Fourteen great grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
