John William Gallagher, 66, of Glasgow, KY, a former Edmonton, KY police officer, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be 2pmCT, Friday, December 27, 2013, at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 E Washington Street, Glasgow, KY with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3pmCT, Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the funeral home.



Mr. Gallagher was born in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, the son of Willard and Mary Mathley Embry.

He was a former police officer for the Louisville and Edmonton Police Departments and also an employee of the Lyons Co. in Glasgow, KY.

Survivors include his wife Judy Eudy Gallagher, and the following:
  • Two sons: Daniel Gallagher (Ashley) and Matt Gallagher (Kandis) both of Edmonton, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Griffin and Konner Gallagher and Cheyenne and Kailey Bartlett

  • One sister: Joyce Dewitt of Brandenburg, KY

  • An aunt: Betty Lynch (Tee) of Cromwell, KY
He was preceded in death by a son, Josh Aaron Gallagher.

A.F. Crow Funeral Home, 201 E Washington Street, Glasgow, KY, in charge of arrangements.
