Mrs. Cecil S. Shaw, Cumberland Co., KY (d. December 22, 2013)

She was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of Cumberland County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of rthe late Caleb and Ollie Squires. She was a member of Jesus Name Church and had operated with her late husband, the Bob Shaw Sales Supply in Marrowbone, KY. She leaves 12 living (including one expectant) descendants.

Mrs. Cecil S. Shaw age 86 a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, KY formerly of the Marrowbone Community passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10amCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST. Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. The family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT, Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

She was born in Green County, KY to the late Caleb and Ollie Squires.

She was a member of Jesus Name Church and had operated with her late husband Bob Shaw Sales Supply in Marrowbone, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Shaw, and four brothers, Stanley Squires, Austin Squires, Richard Squires, and James Squires.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Jenice Shae and her husband Jim of Memphis, TN, and Effie Catron and her husband Mitchell of Burkesville, KY

  • Oneson: Mitchell Shaw and his wife Sandra of Monticello, KY

  • One brother: Roy Squires of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Clarice Jeffries of Hodgenville, KY and Marie Staples of Fordsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Jason Shaw and his wife Andrea of Monticello, KY, Dustan Shaw and his wife Jessica of Monticello, KY, Eileen Meals and her husband A.J. of Kilgore, TX, Robert Shea of Memphis, TN, Emily Catron of Marrowbone, KY, and Holly Catron of Marrowbone, KY

  • Four great grandchildren: Titus Shaw, Isaiah Shaw, Robbie Meals, and Ava Shaw

  • One expectant Great Grandchild: Baby J.

  • And a host of other relatives and friends also survive
