She was a native of Meade County, KY, and a resident of LaRue County, KY, at the time of her death. She leaves two direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.

Sue Lloyd Phillips, 76, of Hodgenville, KY, died at 11:18amET, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Elizabethtown, KY

The funeral service will be at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Raleigh Bostic and Bro. John Ford. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery, Hodgenville, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Stuart Fowler and Grace Milby Fowler. She was born in Meade County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.

She united in marriage to Gary Lee Lloyd March 23, 1957. He preceded her in death January 23, 1982.

She united in marriage to Wesley Phillips December 28, 1985. He preceded her in death July 20, 2011.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Faye Johnson and husband, Murray of Gallatin, Tennessee and Hope L. Cox and husband, Michael L. of Vine Grove, KY

  • Three brothers and one sister: Charles Fowler and wife, Nina of Brandenburg, KY; David Fowler and wife, Carolyn of Woodburn, Oregon; Robert Fowler and wife, Corene of Magnolia, KY; and Nettie Grace Carmack of Hardinsburg, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: James Fowler, Joseph Fowler and Rose Hurlstone.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
