Fred Russell, 74, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his home.

Funeral service for Fred Russell will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bobby Dunbar & Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Friends may call after 10amCT, Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Burial will b in the McBeath Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Johnny Russell, Dallas Russell, Brandon Russell, Wayne Lynch, Jordan Russell, and Jeron Dunbar.

He was born Monday, August 7, 1939 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Elvert & Hazel Dierking Russell. He died Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 4 months.

He was a Veteran of US Navy, a member of the Bethesda Community Fellowship Church and retired from Superior Battery Company in Russell County, KY.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 10 siblings. Survivors include his wife: Peggy Ann Harris Russell, and the following:
  • Three children: Terry (Theresa) Russell, Debbie (Bobby) Dunbar, and Shane (Tina) Russell, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Two step grandchildren

  • One step great grandchild

  • One sister: Violet Russell, Russell Springs, KY
