Mary Ann Weaver, 92, Green County, KY (1921-2013)

She was a native of Wayne County, OH, and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of the Old Order Amish. She was the widow of Emery E. Weaver, her husband of of 48 years. She leaves 169 direct living descendants.

Mary Ann Weaver 92, 782 Summersville Road, Greensburg, KY, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the home of her daughter, John and Fannie Peachey, after a lengthy illness.

at the James Troyer residence. Funeral services will be 9amCT, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the James Troyer residence with Bishop John Troyer officiating. Burial will be in the Van Wert Cemetery in Mifflintown, PA.



Mary Ann Weaver, 92, Green County, KY (1921-2013)


She was born in Wayne County, Ohio on November 9, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Elizabeth (Keim) Hochstetler. She died Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 21 days.

She married Emery E. Weaver on January 14, 1943. He died February 28, 1991.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are the following:
  • Children: (Junior) Edna Yoder of Thompsontown, PA; Roy (Olive) Weaver of McAllisterville, PA; (John) Fannie Peachey of Rural Retreat, VA; (Abe) Betty Troyer of Beaver Springs, PA; Abe (Verna) Weaver of McClure, PA; Mel (Mary Ellen) Weaver of Heron, Montana; (Wayne) Verna Troyer of Lewistown, Montana; Martin (Erma) Weaver of Trout Creek, Montana; and Aden Weaver of Lewistown, Montana

  • Forty-eight grandchildren

  • One hundred twelve great grandchildren

  • A brother: Jacob (Ann) Hochstetler of Orleans, Indiana

  • Sisters: Anna Miller of Fresno; Drussilla Weaver of McAllisterville, PA; and Iva Troyer of Apple Creek.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, five brothers and one son-in-law.

Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of the local arrangements.
