Funeral processions: What's the law on the open highway Marsha Walker writes: I did some research on traffic laws regarding funeral processions. I found that funeral processions have the right of way when preceded by a vehicle with a flashing light. I want to know what to do when meeting a funeral procession on a two-lane highway, but didn't find the answer. It seems to me that on the highway it could sometimes be dangerous to stop when the funeral procession is travelling in the opposite direction.
