Robert Elwood Smith age 68 of Edmonton, KY died November 20, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Joe Field Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 22, 2013, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Robert Tilford and Dorothy Pearl Shaw Smith.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Cindy, and husband David Hawk

  • Three sons: Timmy Elwood Smith, Ronnie Dale wife Kim Smith, and Gregory Allen Smith all of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Donnie Lynn Smith of Park City, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Ashley Lynn and husband Adam Abner. Marinus David Hawk, Robert Paul Eldridge and wife Shelby Smith, and John Chandler Smith

  • Four great granchldren Alexis McKenzie LaShae Abner, Brianna Kay Lynn Abner, Cairo David Allen Hawk, and Abel Charles Ray Smith all of Edmonton, KY

  • One niece: Angela Kaye and husband Chuck Hayes of Edmonton, KY

  • One nephew: Michael Lynn wife Courtney Smith of Glasgow, KY
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Temple Froedge Smith; and one brother Phillip Keith Smith

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
