James David Gaskin, 73, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY at 2pmCT/3pmET, Friday, November 15, 2013, with Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Interment at McBeath Cemetery Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT/11amET, on Friday at the funeral home.



James David Gaskin, Russell Co., KY (1940-2013)


He was born in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, on August 27, 1940, a son of the late Louise (Richardson) and John I. Gaskin. He died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the age of 73 years, 1 months, and 16 days.

He was a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army. and worked as a carpenter and farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Judith (Roy) Gaskin of Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Deidre (Junior) Blakey, of Jamestown, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Megan (Adam) Dyson and Katlin Blakey both from Jamestown, KY

  • A brother: Michael (Dana)Gaskin, of Arizona
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Gary Gaskin and Donald Wayne Gaskin.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
