Rick Caldwell, 56, Adair County, KY (1957-2013)

He was a member of a highly regarded Northwest Adair County, KY, family. He was the son of the late L.J. Caldwell & Christine Baker Rice. He leaves 7 direct living desendants. He had served his country in the U. S. Army and will be accorded full military honors by Columbia VFW Post 6097. He was former Chief Engineer of Unistar Radio Network in Hollywood, CA.

Rick Caldwell age 56 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 3:52pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov.13, 2013 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jimmie Dale Cox officiating. Interment will be in Caldwell Cemetery with full military honors by the local VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the funeral home.

He was born on January 13, 1957 in Adair County, KY He was the son of the late L. J. Caldwell & Christine Baker Rice. He died Saturday, November 9, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY at the age of 56 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Christine & George Rice of Columbia, KYand the following:
  • His former wife of 38 years: Judy Caldwell of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Joe Caldwell & wife Stephanie of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Lisa Janes & husband Brandon of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Greg Caldwell & wife Cindy of Texas; and Joey Caldwell & wife Kelly of Columbia, KY

  • One sister Cherita McFarland and husband Rick of Columbia, KY

  • One step-sister: Janet Biggs & husband Jeff of Columbia, KY

  • Half-sister: Missy Powell of GA

  • Granddaughters: Lauren Janes, Kaitlyn Janes, Arabella Caldwell & Maya Caldwell

  • Grandson: Billy Caldwell

  • Nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends
He had served his country in the U. S. Army. He was former Chief Engineer of Unistar Radio Network in Hollywood, CA
