Ronald Clarence (Ron) Johnson, Adair Co., KY (1937-2013)

He was a member of a highly regarded Southeast Adair County family. He was a native of Illinois. His wife, Kathy Couillard Johnson, survives. He leaves 5 direct and 4 step living descendants. He was a retired printer and lithographer, a US Air Force veteran and attended the Glensfork Christian Church. He was a member of the Russell Co. Ramblers square dancing club and he enjoyed painting and nature.

Ronald Clarence "Ron" Johnson age 76 of Glensfork, KY, formerly of Park City, IL, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center in Columbia, KY after several weeks illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3pmCT/4pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bill Wethington the officiating clergy. The family request visiting after 12noonCT/1pmET, on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.



Ronald Clarence "Ron" Johnson, Adair County, KY (1937-2013)

He was born Sunday, July 11, 1937 in Chicago, Cooke County, IL. He was the son of the late Clarence T. Johnson and Margaret Henrietta Bisinger Johnson. He died Friday, November 8, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 28 days.

He was a retired printer and lithographer, a US Air Force veteran and attended the Glensfork Christian Church, he was a member of the Russell Co. Ramblers square dancing club and he enjoyed painting and nature.

Survived by his wife, Kathy Couillard Johnson of Glensfork, KY, and he following:
  • Three sons: Steven Johnson and wife Kathy of Libertyville, Il; Richard Johnson and wife Nancy of Clarksville, TN; and Michael Johnson of Clarksville, Tennessee

  • One step daughter: Lynn Waskosky and husband Dan of Green Bay, WI

  • One sister: Sue Henningsen of Glensfork, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Ryan Johnson and Emma Johnson

  • Three step great grandchildren: Christian Tointon, Skyler Tointon, and Michaela Waskosky
