He was the patrriarch of a high regarded Adair County family. He leaves 14 direct and one step living descendant. He was a member of Pollards Chapel United Methodist Church, attended Trinity United Methodist Church, was a retired farmer and carpenter, a veteran of World War II serving his country in the U. S. Army. Funeral service Saturday November 9, 2013 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William R. Davenport the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Cane Valley Cemetery, 83 Cane Valley Cemetery Road, Cane Valley, KY, with full military honors by the local VFW Post 6097 and the Kentucky Patriot Guard Riders.
