Mr. Shelby Wade Patterson of Greensburg, KY departed this life on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Shelby Wade Patterson will be conducted at 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Roger Scott will be officiating. Visitation is requested after 11amCT/12noonET, Tuesday, November 5, 2013, until time of the funeral service.

Mr. Shelby Wade Patterson of Greensburg, KY was the son of the late Floyd Lee Patterson and Annie Alzora Risen Patterson. He was born on Friday, January 31, 1947 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center, Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 66 years, 9 months, and 3 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also a self-employed Electrician.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son and a daughter: Grant Patterson of Green County, KY; and Latonya Corbin of Campbellsville, KY

  • One grandchild: Destiny Corbin of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four sisters and four brothers: Janice Ervin, Barbara Morgan, Patsy Grant, Sherry Creason all of Greensburg, KY; Udell Patterson of Cincinnati, OH; Leroy Patterson, Carlos Patterson, and Johnny Patterson, all of Greensburg; KY

  • A girlfriend: Cindy Tucker of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Patterson was also preceded in death by a sister: Ovella Wilson.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
