He was a Welder for Kentucky Trailers and Security Guard for Jefferson County Private Security. Mr. Thompson was also a member of the Plumb Mason Lodge #862 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 84 years, three months, and six days of age. The funeral services for Mr. Barney Ivow Thompson will be conducted at 10:30amCT/11:30amET, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Thompson Cemetery in Green County. Rev. Bobby Thompson, Jr. will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Grace Tabernacle, 7420 St. Andrews Church Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation is 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Saturday until time of the funeral service.
