Manelle Denson, 88, passed away, Saturday October 19, 2013 at the Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services will be 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Wednesday October 23, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Shirley Denson officiating. Burial will at Tapscott Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013, 10amCT/11amET, until time of funeral service.



Manelle Denson, Casey County, KY (1925-2013)


Born Saturday, January 10, 1925 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Killis J. and Minnie W. Hill Followell. She died Saturday, October 19, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

She was a storekeeper and housewife.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Manelle was preceded in death by her husband, William Alonzo "Alzo" Denson who died in 1989 and son, Kenneth Denson.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four sons: Doug (and Ann) Denson of Delaware, Jerry (and Mary) Denson of Yosemite, KY; Joe (and Rose) Denson of Liberty, KY; and Billy (and Teresa ) Denson of Liberty, KY

  • Daughter: Betty (and Hollis) Miller of Columbia, KY

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Several great-grandchildren

  • Several great-great-grandchildren

  • A sister: Francis Simpson of Manito, IL
Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
