Goldie G. Conover, age 82 years of Russell Springs, KY passed away Monday September 30, 2013 at 1:19amET, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Clergy officiating Bro. Kelly Burton Jr., Bro. Bobby Oakes, and Bro. Darrin Blair Interment in Adair County at Freedom Cemetery, 576 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY. The family request visitation after 4pmCT on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

Goldie G. Conover, 82, Russell Springs, KY (1931-2013)

She was born Tuesday, April 14, 1931 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Meldrum and Maggie Rowe Scholl. She died Monday, September 30, 2013, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 16 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Francis Conover in 1968, by one son Frankie Conover in 2001 and by one daughter, Mildred E. Gosser in 2007, and two brothers, Harold Scholl and Lynn Scholl.

She is survived Marshall Oakes of Russell Springs, KY, and by the following:
  • A son: Earl Conover

  • A daughter: Marilyn Smith of Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Fourteen great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild

  • Three step grandchildren

  • Two step great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends
Mrs. Conover was a homemaker.
