K.J. Richerson, 12, Taylor County, KY (2001-2013)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He was a 7th grader at Taylor County Middle School and a member of Boy Scouts Troop 616. He was the son Dr. Kevin and Jane Pike Richerson. He will be interred in the cemetery beside the church in the Mt. Carmel community of Adair County which was so much a part of his life

K. J. Richerson, 12, of Campbellsville, died at 5:15pmET, Sunday, September 22, 2013, in Houston, Texas.

The funeral service will be at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Lanny Garner. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 102 Mt. Carmel Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, September 27, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Ryan Cox, John Pike, Jason Richerson, Kevin Richerson, Troy Richerson, and Brad Wise.

K.J. Richerson, Taylor County, KY (2001-2013

He was born in Austell, Cobb County,, Georgia, Sunday, June 24, 2001, the son of Dr. Kevin Richerson and Jane Pike Ricerson. He died Sunday, September 22, 2013, in Houston, TX, at the age of 12 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

He was a 7th grader at Taylor County Middle School and a member of Boy Scouts Troop 616.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Kevin and Jane Richerson, and the following:
  • Paternal grandparents: Max and Neva Richerson and Rachel and Bill Strader of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several aunts and uncles: John and Jeana Pike of Columbia, Ky; Jason and Stephanie Richerson of Hendersonville, TN; Troy and Bethany Richerson of Bowling Green, KY; Ryan and Billie Jo Cox of Knifley, KY; Kevin Rafferty and Angie and Brad Wise of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several cousins and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Leva Pike.

The family requests expressions fo sympathy be donations to the M.D. Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
